“Composium – Visual Composer Extensions” provides you with the option to quickly create so called QR-Code blocks and show them on your site. A “QR-Code” means “Quick Responsive Code” and is a barcode, representing a machine-readable optical label that contains information about the item to which it is attached. Originally used in the automotive industry, it is now widely used to store URL’s and email addresses that can be read with any smartphone.
QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response Code) is the trademark for a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional barcode) first designed for the automotive industry in Japan. A barcode is a machine-readable optical label that contains information about the item to which it is attached. A QR code uses four standardized encoding modes (numeric, alphanumeric, byte / binary, and kanji) to efficiently store data; extensions may also be used. Applications include product tracking, item identification, time tracking, document management, and general marketing.
EASILY ADD QUICK RESPONSE CODE BLOCKS
The QR-Code can be created in three different ways: Using a canvas element (supported by all modern browsers), as an actual image that can easily be saved and used elsewhere or as a DIV element.
You can also use different colors for the code blocks, although it is advised to stick with basic colors that are easy to recognize by code reader apps.
